Miley Cyrus and SZA Reportedly Collab for a New Song

Miley Cyrus and SZA are reportedly collaborating on a new song. Both artists have been teasing the collab on social media.

SZA expressed her admiration for the 30-year-old artist after learning that ‘Flowers’ had topped the Billboard Hot 100.

“MAJOR congrats to Miley!!! Excited for her album and to work together,” SZA Wednesday morning, January 25, 2023, replying to a tweet regarding Cyrus’ most recent chart success.

Right after congratulating Cyrus, the ‘Good Days’ singer, while enjoying her own ongoing success on the Hot 100, where tracks from SOS currently hold 12 slots on the most recent chart, dated January 28, 2023, she  a tiny bombshell.

SZA tweeted, “This is also wild as [expletive] Surprises coming soon.” It’s unclear if she meant to collaborate with the ‘Midnight Sky’ singer when she tweeted, “Surprises coming soon.”

The release date and details about the song have not been announced yet, but fans are eagerly awaiting more information.

Fan reactions to potential Miley Cyrus SZA collab

The impending duet will undoubtedly be a hit with their fans since Cyrus and SZA are known for their distinctive and potent singing talents.

Fans are excited about the upcoming release and look forward to hearing the unique combination of Cyrus’ pop-rock sound and SZA’s R&B style. 

One of them added, “OMG WE NEED THIS COLLAB PLEASE,” while another remarked, “SZA you’re just serving us well I like that last part of the subtle collab hint.”

The following comment read, “EXCUSE ME – WORK TOGETHER????” while many viewers’ reactions were astonished gifs.

Following 2013’s ‘Wrecking Ball,’ Cyrus’ second-ever No. 1 single, ‘Flowers,” is also her first to debut at the top of the charts. 

In the meantime, SZA’s SOS, which has already spent six weeks straight at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, is still going strong.

SZA has gladly shared her spotlight with other legendary female musicians in recent weeks, and the tribute to Cyrus is no exception. 

Following erroneous rumors from fans that the two were competing against one another for chart success in real life, SZA praised Taylor Swift’s Midnights and wished her luck on the unprecedented Hot 100 reign of lead single ‘Anti-Hero’ earlier this month.

“Congratulations to tay tay! And thank you so much your album and writing is phenomenal ..as ALWAYS,” SZA posted on her Instagram story.

Not to mention, SZA claimed to Rolling Stone that she and Lizzo recorded “five or six songs” at an SOS session, despite Lizzo not appearing on the album’s tracklist. 

Prior to that, the ‘I hate U’ singer revealed to Hot97’s Nessa On Air that several people she had hoped would be featured on the album had not submitted their verses.

Cyrus’ eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation coming on March 10, 2023, is the one thing people can count on right now, and she and SZA will probably continue to rule the charts for weeks to come.
