Treat Williams, the American actor known for his role as Dr. Andy Brown in the TV series Everwood, died at the age of 71 after being in an accident.
Hollywood is grieving over Williams’ untimely death, and several of his co-stars, including Meghan Ory, paid tribute to him on social media.
The news of his death was confirmed by his agent, Barry McPherson, who expressed his devastation to People over the tragic accident that claimed Williams’ life.
According to McPherson, the incident occurred when the actor was making a turn, and another car abruptly cut him off, leading to the fatal collision.
“He was killed this afternoon. He was making a left or a right [and] a car cut him off. I’m just devastated,” Williams’ agent of 15 years, McPherson, said.

Furthermore, McPherson emphasized Williams’ talent and his pride in his recent performance, stating, “He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him…He was really proud of his performance this year.”
The accident details were further explained by Jacob Gribble, the fire chief for Dorset, Vermont, where the tragedy occurred.
Gribble revealed that the collision occurred on Route 30 near Dorset, Vermont, around 5 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023.
The incident involved a single car and Williams’ motorcycle. Investigators on the scene believed that the car’s driver was making a turn and failed to notice the approaching motorcycle, leading to the devastating accident.

Ory, who played Abby O’Brien, the daughter of Williams’ character, Mick O’Brien, on Chesapeake Shores, took to Instagram on June 14, 2023, to pay her tribute to the late actor.
She posted a behind-the-scenes video from the set of Chesapeake Shores, expressing her deep sorrow at the loss and emphasizing Williams’ immense talent and wonderful personality.
She described him as a “monstrous talent” and a “beautiful human,” and provided a glimpse into Williams’ infectious spirit.
The actress affectionately referred to him as the only “Danny Zuko” in her eyes, referencing his memorable portrayal of the character in the original Broadway run of Grease in 1972.
“He was always laughing. Always always singing. He will always be the only Danny Zuko in my eyes,” she wrote.
On the same day, Ory shared another post, further honoring Williams and reflecting on their time together. She admitted the complexities of grief and expressed her desire to share more about the remarkable person who played her on-screen father for six years.
Ory fondly recounted how he would regale them with captivating stories of Broadway and the talented individuals he had worked with throughout his career.
