Luh Kel began his career by freestyle rapping

Kel was born in Missouri’s St. Louis on May 20, 2002. He teamed up with cousin Kai and started freestyle rapping and started garnering popularity on Instagram. 

The rapper initially recorded music in his grandparents’ house. Similarly, he was a member of Project X, a local R&B band.

His big break came when he released ‘Wrong’ single on April 5, 2019. The song quickly gained popularity in the music industry, peaked at number 37 on the renowned Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs list, and was certified Gold by the RIAA.

So far, he has released two studio albums, Mixed Emotions, released on November 15, 2019, and L.O.V.E., which dropped on October 23, 2020.
