An insider stated to Deuxmoi that Roach’s decision to retire was a preemptive move to avoid getting canceled, and they expressed hope that he would take time to reflect on his behavior.

The insider went on to say that while Roach might have been an excellent stylist, it was not worth it if he was a terrible person.

Another insider later came forward, claiming that the fashion stylist was known to be a difficult and unprofessional boss, owing money to several of his former employees.

One source claimed that he was responsible for getting Zendaya noticed by the media and casting directors but was not receiving the recognition he deserved.

Another source alleged that Zendaya’s agents had negotiated an additional $1 million fee specifically for Roach, in addition to her $10 million fee for her Louis Vuitton contract.

Despite his announcement, several insiders have cast doubt on his retirement plans, suggesting that he may be having a breakdown or simply trying to avoid being canceled.

One insider claimed to have “extremely good authority” that Roach was not actually retiring but was simply experiencing a “classic ‘celebrity’ stylist breakdown.”
