But during Coachella 2023, they reunited and revealed they were friends again! Charles took to Instagram Stories to announce the duo had squashed their beef — surprising their fans and followers.

Coachella 2023 was chaotic but was a silver lining as well for a lot of people. This included Charles and Mongeau.

Mongeau had been very vocal about her drama with Charles. In fact, she had even mentioned how she regretted ever being friends with him.

But this Coachella, the two reunited. They co-incidentally even wore matching clothes.

The beauty guru posted a selfie with Mongeau and wrote how they did not know how to unblock each other on Instagram, but they unblocked each other in real life.

On April 28, 2023, Mongeau discussed their feud on her Cancelled podcast, ‘Tana and James Charles Coachella Reunion Ep. 32.’

She talked about how she once dressed exactly like Charles and how they now have much in common. She further said that she became civil with Charles because he had tried over the years to mend fences and talk to her about the whole ordeal.

Fans have mixed reaction

While some fans and followers are happy that the pair have squashed the beef, many are disappointed at Mongeau. They complained about Mongeau’s behavior and said she had a recurring habit of talking badly about people and being friends with them.

Netizens were aware that Mongeau did not miss an opportunity to disparage Charles or speak poorly of him after their relationship turned sour. But now, she was friendly with him after both were spotted interacting at Coachella while wearing similar outfits.

Mongeau claimed that the duo were “cool with each other,” and had cleared out their beef. But many reminded her about the accusation against Charles.

Charles had been accused by multiple victims of grooming and texting explicit content to them. Similarly, the beauty guru had even admitted to texting two minors with the intention of starting a romantic relationship with them.

Since these accusations, Charles had been boycotted by several people, including Emma Chamberlain and The Dolan Twins. In the past, Mongeau had spoken up against Charles despite being friends.

She called him out for his actions and said he needed to be held accountable, especially for grooming and texting minors. She had even insinuated that Charles was a pedophile, saying, “Well, he likes kids.”

But now, she was supporting someone who had been accused of being a pedophile. At the time of writing, neither Mongeau nor Charles has commented on their friendship.
