Carey was born on August 16, 1987, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to his parents, Jerry Price and Lynda Price.

Moreover, to reduce the extensive travel time of around ten hours to play organized hockey, his father went the extra mile. He purchased a plane, enabling him to save valuable hours on journeys spanning approximately 320 kilometers to Williams Lake City.

Currently, the ice hockey goaltender shares a special bond with his parents. On May 15, 2017, he expressed his love and appreciation for his mother by sharing a picture of them with a heartfelt caption, “Happy Mother’s Day.” The post garnered attention, with many people remarking on the resemblance between Carey and his mother. 

Similarly, on August 8, 2019, Carey took to Instagram to share a picture of himself hiking with his father. Along with the post, he captioned, “Out for a stroll with Dad.” 

Carey Price grew up with his sister 

In addition to his parents, Carey also has a sister named Kayla, who has undoubtedly been a significant presence in his life. 

The ice hockey goaltender and his sister spent his formative years in the tight-knit community of Anahim Lake, located in northern British Columbia. 

Currently, Carey’s sister is married to a former defenseman of the Montreal Canadiens, who presently plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins. On July 24, 2022, the ice hockey goaltender shared a series of pictures from his sister’s wedding day on social media, capturing the joyous occasion. 

The caption accompanying the post read, “A blessed weekend,” reflecting the happiness and love that surrounded the celebration.
