American singer and songwriter Ben Gibbard is recently reported to have divorced his second wife, Rachel Demy, after nearly seven years of marriage.
DeuxMoi, a Hollywood gossip site, recently received an anonymous tip stating that Gibbard has separated from his wife.
The anonymous tipster stated, “A certain musician who sings for not one, but two, iconic 2000s bands currently on tour, and who used to be married to THE manic pixie dream darling had just separated from wife number two.”
Continuing, the anonymous source mentioned that the singer seems to be handling divorce number two way better than he did with divorce number one.

DeuxMoi posted this tip to their Instagram story, and shortly after, one social media user took to Reddit to share the screenshot of the tip and titled with the question, “Ben Gibbard and Rachel Demy divorced?”
Upon seeing the post, many of the fans and followers expressed their opinion on Gibbard and Demy’s reported divorce. One person commented, “That’s too bad. They seemed really happy when I used to see them a few years ago. I guess that’s kind of how you have to be when you’re known for being in love though.”
Likewise, another person wrote, “I had a feeling. Neither of them has been wearing rings, and her posts have been off. She is the band’s photographer basically and hasn’t been to any of the shows yet in the reunion album tour with the postal service.”
The last picture Demy featured of her husband on her Instagram was on March 31, 2022, from his concert. In the post, she expressed her gratitude to everyone who had attended the event.
However, as of now, neither the singer nor his wife has made any statements regarding their relationship and this divorce report. And until the couple confirms their split, it remains only a rumor.

Alongside the post, she included a heartfelt caption that read, “A hearty congrats and deepest thanks to Rachel Demy and Ben Gibbard, who were married under the lights and foliage amongst their closest community.”
After getting married, Demy occasionally used to express her love for her husband through her social media posts. For instance, on August 11, 2020, she shared a picture of Gibbard on his birthday and fondly reminisced about a conversation she had with the singer.
She recalled saying something along the lines of, “You are the gutter bumpers in my brain’s bowling alley,” and concluded with a touch of romance, stating, “I think I’m just gonna stick with that because romance. Happy 44th birthday to the only person I can imagine spending 2020 with!”
Similarly, on the couple’s 4th anniversary, Demy posted a picture of her and her husband enjoying a wonderful time together.
In the caption, she revealed that on their wedding anniversary, they playfully squeezed themselves into their wedding attire and cast their ballots before embarking on a road trip to serve champagne to their friends from a cooler in their trunk.
