To begin, he explained that Discovery Channel insists on recycling items in order to save money. He went on to clarify that the Discovery Channel pays for the upgrades featured on the episode.

He clarified that the channel is ready to make the budget available if needed. He said, “As far as budgetary things, obviously this is a Discovery Channel show.”

“If I convinced them that this homestead needed x projects completed,” then the budget was made available for “significant improvements to a homestead,” he added.

Therefore, it seems that Discovery Channel is the main investor behind the show as well as all the renovations necessary for the participants. 

How much do the Raneys make on ‘Homestead Rescue?’

Various sites have reported that Marty has a net worth of $1 million. He is involved in a lot of projects but to date, Homestead Rescue is the biggest one he has been involved with.

There are already ten seasons of the show, and there is a high possibility that it will get renewed for an eleventh one. So, it is possible that Marty has earned most of his net worth through the reality TV show.
