Travis Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, talk about various subjects on their podcast, New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce.

They launched their weekly podcast in September 2022, with their name referring to their childhood in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. On the podcast, the brothers discuss NFL news, rumors, and sports stories, as well as their games.

They also often talk about the things that interest them, and this week, it happened to be the reality TV show, Love Is Blind. Travis revealed that the show was so bad that it was good for him.

Travis Kelce on ‘Love Is Blind’

Travis talked about the reality TV show on the March 20, 2024, episode of their podcast. He talked about the sixth season of Love Is Blind, asking his brother to watch it.

He claimed that the show was the “worst trash ever.” He said, “Jason, you gotta watch Love Is Blind, man. It is the worst trash ever.”

He even compared it to his reality show, Catching Kelce, and said, “It’s worse than Catching Kelce, but it is so [expletive] good.”

Catching Kelce was a reality TV show on E! Entertainment Television, which was released in January 2016. In the show, Travis, who was 25 years old at the time, was searching for his soulmate.

He was a recently signed star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and portrayed himself as prepared to settle down. So, like The Bachelor, it was him searching for his girlfriend, by meeting a variety of women.

The seven-episode series featured Kelce’s search for love among 50 suitable ladies, one from each state in the United States. In the end, he chose Maya Benberry as his girlfriend, and the couple dated from April 2016 to January 2017.

So, despite claiming that Love Is Blind was worse than his own dating show, he found it good and wanted his brother to watch it. However, Jason did not want to watch it.

He noted that he did not want to encourage any streaming platforms to make such “trash.” “I’m not watching, no I’m not watching that trash. I’m not encouraging Netflix or any of these other subscription channels to make any more of this nonsense [expletive],” Jason stated.

Chelsea Blackwell on Travis Kelce’s opinion

While talking about the show and urging Jason to watch it, Travis made an impression on one of the participants, Chelsea Blackwall.

Travis said, “Honestly, I just want you [Jason] to watch the one girl and just hear her.” He also did an impression of Blackwell saying, “Am I clingy?”

Soon, Blackwell came to know about Travis and his opinion on the show, as well as herself. As a result, she decided to respond to it and made a video on TikTok and Instagram.

She noted that she was mortified and wanted to “crawl under a rock” after Travis’s impersonation. “I feel like I need to crawl under a rock, at this point,” she pointed out. “The only outlet this man knows my name—not even knows my name, knows me—is from whining like a baby back [expletive].”

Sighing and laughing, she added, “Taylor Swift, if you’re watching it with him…please stop,” hinting that Travis might be watching the show with his current girlfriend. It looks like the Kelce brothers found it funny that Blackwell responded to them.

They commented, “Imitation is the highest form of flattery. We’ve all been there,” with a heart and laughing emoji, via their podcast’s Instagram account, @newheightshow.
