Lori Anne Allison is a celebrity makeup artist, producer, and the first ex-wife of Johnny Depp. Her name with him may be unheard by many of us because the couple had parted before Depp came to fame. It was years before Amber Heard came into his life.

Lori, born on September 6, 1957, has become the age of 65 years now as of 2022. She had moved to Los Angeles with a dream of becoming a musician.

In an interview with the Miami Herald, “I wanted to become a recording engineer and became a regular fixture at Criteria Studios,” she recalled.

However, her musical ambition crashed as she became partially deaf in her left ear.

Nevertheless, she got a new direction in her career after this incident. She entered the field of makeup which had been her interest since childhood.

Lori Anne Allison and Johnny Depp were married for three years

Lori was 25 when she married 20 years old Johnny in 1983. However, their marriage lasted for only three years, and they got divorced in 1985.  

Lori and Johnny got married in 1983 but decided to get divorced on March 7, 1986, and they do not have children together.

As per the source, Johnny was rumored to have dated his fellow actor, Sherilyn Fenn, while he was still in a marital relationship with Lori. The rumor was confirmed later when both Fenn and Depp announced their engagement.

These exes seem to maintain cordial relationships with each other. Allison, together with Paradis and Ryder, defended Depp when his then-wife, Amber, put an allegation of domestic violence against him.

She claimed that Depp would never abuse a woman and never did anything like that when they were together. Also, she claimed he never even yelled at her and called him a “soft person who would never harm even a fly.”

Lori expressed that she and Depp are still friends and speak from time to time. She has even kept her ex’s last name “Depp.”

Lori is a well-known name in the world of makeup. She has become a successful makeup artist now.

Lori made her debut as a makeup artist with the 1992 film Sunset Heat. She has worked with renowned celebrities such as Cloris Leachman and Josh Groban, not to mention movies such as Matters of Consequence, Recalculating, and Rule of Three, where she has worked as a makeup artist.

In 2015, she started her own lip gloss line called Serendeppity, where many glosses are named after her favorite celebrities like Laila Ali and Marilyn Monroe.

Lori spoke to ENSTARZ about her journey as a makeup artist and working with A-List celebrities.

“I’ve been working for 30 years, and 90 percent of my experiences have been with celebrities, and the one experience that probably made me the most nervous and it just stands out the most in my mind is when I worked with Sting, I think, in the late eighties.”

Apart from being a makeup artist, she is the author of books on celebrities and their dogs called Gimme Shelter. She has also written a book with short stories named For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn.

She is active on social media and seems to be a dog lover. She has posted plenty of dog photos on her Instagram handle.
